You’ve booked your dream venue, said yes to the dress, and made more Pinterest boards than you care to admit. But as your photographer (aka your honorary bridesmaid with a camera), here are five things I really want you to know before the big day—because trust me, they’ll make your photos (and your memories) even better.
1. Golden Hour is Your Best Friend
Lighting can make or break your photos. That dreamy, glowy light you see in my portfolio? That’s golden hour—about an hour before sunset. If you want portraits that feel warm, soft, and romantic, plan time in your timeline for sunset photos. You won’t regret it.
2. First Looks Are a Game-Changer (Even If You’re Traditional)
I get it—some couples want to save the moment for the aisle. But hear me out: a first look gives you a private moment together before the rush of the day, eases nerves, and gives us more time for portraits. Plus, you'll get even more emotional photos—win-win!
3. Details Matter—But So Does Letting Go
Yes, we love pretty flat lays and thoughtful touches. But don’t sweat the small stuff if things go “off plan.” The messy, unscripted moments often turn out to be the most beautiful. Your joy is what makes your day shine—not perfect place settings.
4. Trust Your Vendor Team
You chose us for a reason—now let us serve you well. When you trust your vendors (especially your photographer 😉), you can relax and soak in every moment. I’ve got your timeline, your angles, and your lipstick check handled.
5. This Day Is About You
Not your Pinterest board. Not your guest list. Not even your timeline. This day is about your love, your story, and your people. Don’t be afraid to make it yours. Dance barefoot. Kiss twice at the altar. Hug your grandma 12 times. I’ll be there to capture it all.
At the end of the day, the photos are for you—but the memories are forever. My job is to help you remember how it felt.
You bring the love, I’ll bring the camera.
Let’s make it magic.
