Engagement sessions are one of my favorite parts of the wedding experience—and I promise, they’re not just “extra fluff.” Whether you’re camera shy, love the spotlight, or are somewhere in between, here’s why every couple should absolutely say yes to the engagement shoot.

1. It Gets You Comfortable in Front of the Camera
Let’s be real—most couples aren’t professional models. And that’s the point! This session gives us time to shake off nerves, laugh a little (okay, a lot), and learn how you naturally interact as a couple. That way, when the wedding day comes, taking photos feels easy and natural—not awkward or stiff.

2. You’ll Get to Know Me
This isn’t just a shoot—it’s a chance to build trust. You’ll learn how I direct, pose, and capture those in-between moments. And I’ll get to learn how you two move, laugh, and love—so I can show up fully ready on your wedding day to tell your story in a way that feels like you.

3. The Photos Are So. Dang. Useful.
Save-the-dates, wedding websites, invitations, social media announcements, guest books, decor—your engagement photos aren’t just for Instagram (although they’ll totally stop the scroll). They’re a beautiful way to celebrate this season and make your wedding feel personal.

4. It’s Actually… Fun!
Most couples leave saying, “That was WAY better than I expected!” I keep things laid-back, natural, and even a little goofy. We’ll laugh, dance a little, and maybe even hit up a field or two if you're into it. My job is to make it feel more like a date and less like a photo shoot.
